Multi-operation Rotary Indexing Machines

WIDMA’s rotary machines are designed for simultaneous execution of multiple operations like drilling, tapping, rough boring, fine boring, spot facing, and reaming. These machines are usually handled by a single operator. 

Valve Seat Machining &
Valve Guide Reaming

Built for accurate machining of valve seat profiles and valve guides for engine cylinder heads, these machines span a range of diameters for generation and plunging. WIDMA is the first to develop these machines indigenously in India.

Fine Boring Machines

WIDMA offers fine boring machines of vertical and horizontal configurations with single or multiple spindles. The tool correction feature of these machines works up to an accuracy of 1 micron diameter. Besides, the tool retract mark can be eliminated during tool return.

Multi-spindle Machines

WIDMA’s multi-spindle machines are built to perform multiple operations simultaneously and offer the best-in-class cycle time. Available in horizontal and vertical configurations. These machines can be used for operations such as drilling, tapping, rough boring, fine boring, reaming, and spot facing.

Facing and Centering Machines

WIDMA facing and centering machines are available in both vertical and horizontal configurations with slides for plunge or traverse milling. They provide accurate center and face reference for further operations like turning and grinding.

Special Milling Machines

For special milling applications, WIDMA offers machines with multi-axis movement and interpolation. By performing the primary material removal task, they save time needed for subsequent operations. WIDMA’s special milling machines can be offered for operations such as cam lobe milling, profile milling, keyway milling, groove milling, slot milling, and pad milling.

Heavy Milling/Roughing Machines

Heavy milling and roughing operations require high material removal rate with high depth of cut. These applications also require spindle with gear box to achieve the required cutting torque and power. WIDMA machines are designed to meet the said parameters in demanding applications, and can be customized for a variety of tractor, car, and truck components.

Finish Milling Machines

WIDMA’s finish milling machines are designed for achieving critical accuracies like flatness, surface finish, and milling depth. They are provided with rigid spindle bearings and sufficient power for stability and near zero vibration. These machines can be configured in horizontal or vertical configurations depending on components and machining complexity.

Vertical Turning Lathes

Vertical Turning Lathes are ideal for machining components of massive size and complex geometries such as pumps and valves, railway wheels, bearings, and graphite blocks with accuracy. Many of our customers have benefited from upgrading their conventional set-ups to our machines. The resulting productivity boost and quality improvement are direct results of reduced cycle times and improved accuracies. Available in three broad classifications as VU, VM, and VT- from simple two-axes to five-axes multi-tasking configurations with table sizes ranging from 500mm to 3000mm. These machines can also be built to cater to specific requirements of customers.

Tool Grinding Machines

WIDMA’s tool-grinding portfolio consists of the Ecogrind series, the Ezeegrind series and the Hobgrind series. FIXTURES 

WIDMA has been a pioneer in providing fixtures to customers across India for more than 2 decades. Our expertise in building machines has translated seamlessly into our fixture-building capabilities, making us the preferred choice for many manufacturing OEMs, their suppliers, and machine tool makers.
Our design team uses the latest 3D software for designing and modeling the fixture elements, assembling them virtually, and checking for interference to ensure smooth and accurate execution.

TOOLING SOLUTIONS

With Kennametal being our parent organization, we have access to the most advanced tools and process database. Customization of tools is done to enhance their performance parameters which increase the tool life leading to increased machine throughput. The tooling team also helps carry out thorough tool inference checks by simulating the actual conditions in 3D to ensure smooth cutting trials at the customer end. We also partner with various other tooling suppliers as per customer-specific requirements.

INDUSTRY 4.0 (IOT) SOLUTIONS

WIDMA’s Industry 4.0-ready solutions enable our customers to collect data and monitor various critical parameters through sensors from the fixtures and machine accessories. Parameters such as levels of fluids in coolant and hydraulic systems, pressure, flow, temperature, etc. can be tracked and recorded via I/O-based sensors. This data is then captured and recorded through software integrated throughout the manufacturing production line. 

PROCESS ENGINEERING

Our team of subject matter experts specialize in planning the manufacturing process for any component from cast to finish that includes detailed study and identification of machining operations. Based on the accuracy needs, cycle time estimation is prepared along with the list of tools needed, and the cutting parameter is selected in discussion with our parent tooling company, Kennametal.
